Back in Singapore

How things have changed, and how things have remained the same, over this one year that I was gone...

My room remains the same. A bed, with a pillow and bolster, and a small, thin blanket. A table, very empty and quite tidy. Two shelves full of comics and books that are ages old. A cupboard, full of old clothes that I haven't worn in years. Also have a stack of old school and military uniforms.

The house has changed. There are new lights, the fluorescent ones replacing the halogen (which became quite dark and yellow). The walls has become more dirty, especially around the switches. The ceiling is yellow and some patches are mouldy. apparently the roof is leaking.

The construction along paya lebar road is still there. think it will be there till 2006, i don't know.

apparently there bus/mrt fares have increased. i don't know cus i haven't taken them yet.

The food is still cheap and good. Had a fantastic lunch for only $2.50, plus teh-ping (iced milk tea) for only 80c.

meeting my friends later. lets see if they've changed. =)
