Changed my profile...

It once read "working as a no-lifer". I've changed that because I realise I do have a life, in fact, and even though I work 12hr weekdays - 60hrs a week, I have 2 full days off.

And compared to a housemate of mine, who works like 15-18 hours a day - and sometimes on weekends, I am very lucky indeed.

And I'm liking my job more and more...

And my gf's coming over.. what "no-lifer"... so loser... :D

Christmas Eve's Eve

I'm getting the festival mood.. the office was so lively and happy (even though its half empty) and everyone was having fun chit-chatting. By 12 noon, only a quarter of the office were left. I left early too!

Quickly did some grocery shopping because all shops and restaurants will be closed on the 25th and 26th. I don't want to starve, and seriously, when I mean all shops/restaurants are closed, its really a total shutdown.

And then my girlfriend is coming over!! HOORAY! thats possibly the happiest thing happening in my life right now. another day and a half.. comeon comeon comeon.. *wait eagerly in chair for time to pass faster*

i'm a happy man today :D

Speaking Mandarin part 2

I take back my words. I can't speak Mandarin.

Simple colloquial Mandarin is ok. not a problem. but when it comes to words like er.. risk management, capital protection, quantitative analysis, leverage, derivatives, securities, trading platform etc... WAH.

I take back my words... I should really brush up on my Mandarin...

Speaking Mandarin

I'm so glad I can speak a little Mandarin, no mattter how half-past-six (meaning sub-standard).

Thats because, in a week, a couple of senior executives from China are going to come down to visit our capabilities - and I've been invited to join some others in bringing them to dinner - just on the basis of being able to speak Mandarin. MUAHAHA.. I'm expecting very expensive Chinese food. MUAHAHHAAHAHA

I'm glad Lee Kwan Yew made us learn Chinese.
